Part-Time Retail + Social Media Associate

Location: SE Portland, OR (In-Person)
Hours: 12–18 hours/week
Schedule: Must be available weekends (Saturday + Sunday)
Compensation: $16-20/hour DOE
Start Date: ASAP

Hannah Naomi Jewelry is a small, women-operated business that creates size-inclusive, handmade jewelry with a focus on quality craftsmanship and thoughtful design. The Role:
We’re looking for a friendly, creative, and reliable team member to join us as a Retail + Social Media Associate! This is a hybrid position that combines in-person retail responsibilities with behind-the-scenes (and sometimes in-front-of-the-camera!) content creation for our social platforms—especially TikTok, but also Instagram, Pinterest, and beyond.

This is a great opportunity for someone who loves jewelry, enjoys engaging with people, and has a knack for storytelling and creating fun, compelling content.

Responsibilities:
Retail (In-Person):

  • Greet and assist customers in our Portland store
  • Answer questions about our handmade pieces and help with styling/sizing
  • Keep the retail space tidy, organized, and inviting
  • Package in-store and online orders as needed
  • Help with inventory, restocking, and merchandising

Social Media (Primarily TikTok):

  • Brainstorm, plan, and film short-form video content
  • Edit and post videos (trends, behind-the-scenes, styling tips, etc.)
  • Assist with posting stories, reels, and pins
  • Monitor engagement and help grow our online presence
  • Collaborate with the team on creative ideas and seasonal campaigns

You Are:

  • Friendly, personable, and excited to help customers
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently
  • Creative, with a strong understanding of current TikTok/Instagram trends
  • Comfortable filming on iPhone and DSLR
  • Passionate about small business and handmade goods

Bonus Points For:

  • Experience in retail or customer service
  • Familiarity with jewelry and fashion trends
  • Basic video editing skills
  • Basic photo editing skills (Adobe Lightroom + Photoshop)
  • Experience using Shopify

Schedule + Hours:
This role is part-time, with required availability on Saturdays and Sundays. We’re offering 12–18 hours per week to start, with the potential to grow into more hours and responsibilities over time.
